Plain-English definitions for the terminology used across Analisa Taktik.
- Accumulator
- A single bet that combines multiple selections; all must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- A handicap given to a team to level the match, removing the draw option.
- Back Betting
- Betting that an outcome WILL happen, the opposite of lay betting.
- Bankroll
- The total money you have set aside for betting.
- Bookmaker
- A company or person that sets odds and accepts bets.
- Bookmaker Margin
- The built‑in profit margin that a bookmaker includes in the odds, often called the "vig".
- BTTS
- Short for "Both Teams To Score", a bet on whether each team will score at least one goal.
- Cash Out
- A feature that lets you settle your bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or loss.
- Clean Sheet
- A bet on whether a team will finish the match without conceding any goals.
- Correct Score
- A bet that predicts the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, increasing your chance of winning.
- First Goalscorer
- A bet on which player will score the first goal in a match.
- Form Guide
- A record of a team's recent results used to judge its current performance.
- Head-to-Head
- A comparison of the past results between two teams in the same fixture.
- HT/FT
- Short for "Half-Time/Full-Time", a bet that predicts both the half‑time and final result of a match.
- Juice
- The commission or fee that a bookmaker takes on a bet, also known as the vig.
- Lay Betting
- Betting that an outcome will NOT happen, essentially acting as the bookmaker.
- Live Betting
- Placing bets on a match while it is already in progress.
- Odds
- The number that shows how much you can win if your bet wins.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals will be more or less than a set number.
- Stake
- The amount of money you put on a bet.
- System Bet
- A bet that covers multiple combinations of selections, allowing some mistakes while still paying out.
- Value Bet
- A bet where the odds seem higher than the true chance of winning, giving you an edge.
- xG
- Short for "Expected Goals", a metric that estimates how many goals a team should score based on shot quality.
